Title: Deletion of posts
Post by: TeddyKGB on 04 January 2008, 00:18
God dammit! Is it possible to delete your own posts? Or have the facilite added. I replied to a topic but realised it had already been answered.

Just reviewed all my recent posts and they all have the remove button so have no idea why you should be any different!

Just for the record I don't have remove either - Just quote or modifiy - Maybe they removed it for a llnew members after a certain date? Or you only get it after a certain post count? Neither of those make much sense though?!

TBH - I preffer that people can't totally remove posts - on other forums where they have that I've been known to replie to a post, which then gets deleted making me look a knobchops!

Can only think its something like Tom said then. Yes I am a Site Associate but that means SOD ALL!

Its probably due to the forum changes over the years!

Special favours me? You gotta be kidding!

I've just taken a look at the forum permissions. As a regular member, which the majority here are, you do not have the ability to delete your own post, just modify. It doesn't make any difference how many posts that you have made until you reach 'serious forum addict' status which 6500+ posts.
Site Associates also have the ability.
