Title: useless sellers on the classifieds
Post by: andy_k on 09 July 2013, 21:09
As it just me or is the classified section here a load of ads where people don't really want to sell stuff?

If an ad says

'all parts available' that doesn't mean 'well, I don't want to sell that part on it's own'

'for sale' doesn't mean 'I sold it to a mate about 4 weeks ago' or 'I'll let you know when I've taken it off the car'

Not responding to requests for more info seems to be the norm as does being awkward and or ignoring potential buyers

I appreciate I don't have many posts here but does that mean it's OK for vendors to be rude?

Most just join up to sell things on here so are not representative of the forum generally.

Mind you some of the posts.........

Oh and folk dont use the SEARCH function
or bother to look up in the Info/Maintence sections where they could easily find the answer to their stupid inane question!

a forum I'm on are very strict about classifieds

100 Posts and minimum of 30 days

they watch new members like a hawk if they post in the classified they then check the members posts to see if they rushed the process to use the classifieds if they have they get banned until they have proven they are willing to contribute towards the community /forum

it doesn't take long to hit 100 posts you can post 10 a day and hit 100 in no time
