Title: Golf R DTUK FSR tuning box work on my gti?

Been offered a golf R DTUK tuning box on another forum for sale, just wondering if this would work on my gti or would it need to be reflashed or what?

I can't see how that would work. They have different turbos, intakes etc, so I'm sure the box would be setup very differently.

the box hardware will be the same, you would need to get it reflashed tho

Is it possible to get the box reflagged to the correct map?

I’m thinking about one of these for my 230ps GTI but would be good to keep the unit for use on other cars

If you want more power do it properly with a remap and stay well clear of crappy tuning boxes.

It’s not for my CSS it’s for my wife’s GTI daily driver so would like to be able to alter the settings for what she wants and what I want so these boxes are pretty handy for that

No, but you can ignor that extra 50bhp the box gives by not pressing quite as hard.

Yes you can get it reflashed to a different model, best bet is to give DTUK a ring and see what they'd charge to do it.

I'd be prepared for short shrift from them because you didn't buy it directly from them. Customer service is shocking even at the best of times.
