just serviced my 1.8t with 5w 40 know that is what my dealer said to me to use :undecided:
so we have 5w 30,5w 40,10w 40
what is the right oil?

It has no idea what my car is. Seems to recommend the same oil though regardless!

Try the model search it says 5w 30.

Bob could you go into your dealer when your next nearby and ask what oil thay recommend , i would just like to see what thay say!!

I just rung up the dealership.
5W-40. They said it's important that it's semi synthetic.

How can so many garages reccomend so many different oils. Im gonna go with what AMD say when they service motor. :smiley:

im worried, i checked which is the correct oil for my car.
But when i entered my reg number it came up saying 2.0 gti, whereas my car is 1.8t
??? :huh:

i phoned the dealers yesterday and they said to us semi syn 10w 30,
plus they said when they do a 2 year service they well us fully syn 10w 30,
i done an oil change on sunday and used 5w 30 fully syn they said it is ok the oil will last long.
