All I'm going to say is if I didn't have Alpine's IVA-D310RB I would have a CDA-9855R

the guide bar takes a bit to get use to. I hated it at first, but after an hour of playing it's 2nd nature. Seriously nice headunit.

Shud be getting mine soon hopefully. I hope the bass isn't airy becuz I have experience this before with alpine headunit (they were lower range ones tho). I use it in a shop and I was quite impressed @ what it cud do, hopefully it sounds good. Don't like that glide touch, but Im sure i'll get use to it

Got my alpine headunit...... excellent headunit the sound quality for the mids and tops is excellent!! razor sharp but still soft and controlled.  :embarassed: however one down fall is the bass, tends to be abit to relaxed for my liking. I think I might how to add a line driver or sumink.

anyone else find that??

I've got a 9833r and its very good does way more that I can ever do with it and took a bit of working out but once you realize what these new fangled things can do there top notch, way better than the one I had on me combine !
