thanks for the info, i downloaded the update and seemed to be successful however when i ran the vag-com on my golf it picked up the two existing faults im aware of but still insisted i needed the full version in order to tell me what exactly the faults are? anything ive done wrong or indeed need to do extra? cheers andy

Hey Golfmad - Just recieved my cable today, loaded the hack which said it was a registered version. Done a scan on the ABS and its gone back to saying I need to activate it.
Are you sure that you managed to get the hack fully working, as now I'm abit sceptical as to whether the hack works or not.??

if the cable is a proper ross tech one it will activate the software anyway wi no hack but they are $350 (£175 at home) each.

Try running the crack again wi the cable connected. ( I assume its an ebay cable)

hi yes, thats exactly what I did.

loaded the hack but didnt seem to register, re-started machine, plugged the lead in(from ebay seller) and re tried the hack, checked the vag-com details and it says its fully registered/activated. thats the easy part the difficult part was figuring out getting the inetrface port sorted on my laptop, cos the instructions from the website are pants.

good luck, b a shame if you cant get it sorted when you put me and others onto this!!
