lambs wool mitt

hi i bought a maguires wool mit use the two buckets but still seem to pick up scratches any ideas.

what shampoo are you using?

what is your drying method?

have you got any existing contaminates on the paintwork and have you clayed it?

yes used the clay bar, using triple wax woolworths special i was using a leather chamois but stopped as link said they can scratch

sounds like a stupid question but how are you washing the car???

as someone said earlier in this thread (take your time) a dam good pre wash is a must as this will remove alot of the dust and grit which scratches your paint,start washing from the roof down, use a different set of gear for your wheels also.

Good place to start, read up here on how to properly wash the car using the 2 bucket method.

Then see if your way of washing differs.

I have a decent wool wash mitt that I use on the roof, bonnet, boot and doors only from the rub strip upwards. I have an older wash mitt that I use on the door bottoms then front and rear valances. I machine wash them on a wool cycle on 40 degrees then tumble dry on low.
