door wont shut?

anyoen else experience d thsi , i just got out my passenger front door and went to shut it but it springed back open as if the catch wasnt working.. the handle was closed etc... when i went to lock the door from the drivers side i.e central locked it and then closed it it worked but wen its unlocked the door wont catch when u shut it ...any ideas?

sorry to state the obvious but it sounds like the door lock is broken.

if you open the door can you visually inspect the "catch" to see if that would latch, might be worth trying to simulate the door closing eg push the lock into the closed position and see if it stays there.

Yeah i had this problem on the rear passenger drivers side door, but hasn't happened for a while. It sprung open going around a roundabout, so i had 1 hand on the wheel other holdin this door lol .. i think its fixed itself i dunno

i think its to do with my door pin it doesnt go up and down when it gets stuck in the down position then u cant open the door from inside or outside any tips or does it just need straihting out,,,, this was coz of the tinting company i bet.
