Injector recall problem.
« on: 24 April 2013, 22:04 »
Well the dreaded DPF light has come on 4 days after having the recall done,so took it for a long drive to clear it and light remains on.this would usually have cleared it and have heard horror stories about gt sports running perfect then after recall having problems with the dpf.Try and regen it 2moro and if this does'nt work might have to remove it.

Oh dear not another one

Equally it could be a sensor that has failed. I wouldnt bother trying a regen as you may cause irreparable damage

Two things for them to check is
A) have the injectors been fitted properly. Lots of reports suggest the seals arent seated correctly
B) that the timing is set correctly

Have a look at this link

Is it the DPF light or the engine light?

If its the latter it could be a throttle body / EGR problem. I had a customer with that problem which he ignored and ended up killing his DPF

Injector is a warranty issue so just take it to your local dealer

All the lights on means you've won the jackpot
