Phoned the dealership again today to book back in. Hopefully they can find out what the issue is and have mentioned maybe start looking at the CV Boots to start with. The creaking noise is worse when I first get in the car for the first few miles after that the noise isn’t as bad!?

Mine has been in 3 times, previously they applied lithium grease which worked for 1 day. Took in today as they said they were going to replace the suspension bushes but after looking at these they said they were not defective so couldn’t replace so they applied more grease! Obviously the noise is coming from somewhere else. Won’t hold my breath the grease will cure it

It's a common fault and there's a TPI covering it, so your dealership should be well aware of what it is they need to do. I had the front suspension rebuilt and boots replaced on my latest Mk8 GTI, after only 1,400 miles. I am delighted to say that it seems to have solved the problem.

I started hearing the usual squeaking and rattling noises after only 1,200 miles and knew what it was straightaway. This is because I had the same problem on my last Mk 8 and the dealership went through the old Lithium grease routine on my first visit, before conceding just a few months later that the boots needed replacing. This time, they didn't even argue about going straight to the rebuild/replacement part option. Lithium Grease only masks the problem; it is not the answer.

It's a disgrace that this is still a relatively common fault, some four years after the Mk8 was first launched.

I'd be delighted with that, it should mean it won't suffer the awful errors that a rife with the MK8.
It must have been playing up and they did the right thing before selling it on. Great result for you.

Hello guys
I would like tonask some advise or info about a golf 7.5 gti tcr with factory exhaust. I would like a little bit louder exhaust but i dont want to spend millions.what i am looking for is center resonator delete.
I found two options one is just a pipe and the secund one is ann anti drone res delete.
Anyone got any experience with this two pipe or with the same car i dont want it to sound crap or very loud just a little bit deeper, louder.
And an other question is that i am outside England , i am in Europe anyone cam recommend european shops or where can i buy this product?

Thanks
Did you go ahead with this in the end?

General discussion / Re: 25% off main dealer plans

Thank chaps, it’s a new to me 2019 GTI. The ( non VW) dealer is giving 12 months warranty but the VW service plan seems a good option. It was just to see if there were any discounts but I didn’t want to wait until Black Friday really
I got unlucky with the timing too, but even for £37.50 a month it's worth it for the peace of mind

Hi there picking up my new car tomorrow I’ve just rang the dealer and he’s said they have had to change the steering wheel because of a fault with the lane assist system, does this sound right, thanks
