Hi all,
New to the forum and looking forward to getting my GTI.
Ordered a moonstone grey DSG with the 19 inch wheels. Hopefully will be here end of March.
Cheers
Rich.

Congrats on your forthcoming GTI. Is that a factory order?

Nice colour choice, I'm waiting on a manual one in Deep Black.
Ordered 2 weeks ago, was told March/April.
The wait is killing me. 4th Golf, first GTI..

Thanks all.
I was being quoted 30 week lead times yesterday for a new factory order, however I managed to secure one that was already in the system which is already scheduled for build week 8 (end of feb).
Hopefully I will get it end of march.

30 weeks? I'm gonna guess the dealership I went to wasn't all that honest with lead times..
Looking like March/April might be a bit too optimistic for me. :-(

I know! I was shocked also.
I spoke to a number of suppliers who were all saying the same. Fingers crossed its exaggerated!

Read this lead time thread guys:

Evo1986 is our resident main dealer, his posts are the truth as he gets it from VW....
Note that the lead times are after the factory confirms the order, which depends on dealer slot allocation....

Unfortunately VW and exaggeration are not normally used in the same sentence
