I've just had new front discs and pads put on my car and wondered if the old chestnut of having to bed them in still applies?
I'm sorry for the dumb question, it's just that I've heard conflicting reports from various sources hence the need for clarification.
Thanks for any help

Yes, a little. They usually have an anti corrosion 'lacquer' applied to them too.
Give it a few hundred miles avoiding full on braking maneuvers but that's about it.

Brilliant mate thanks for answering.
A guy at work suggested roughly 200 miles before they are bed in.
