Yes I am a bit envious of the wood rimmed steering wheel!
And of course I agree about how good the wood looks!
But not sure I like the cream leather with a black car!

all it needs is some big rims, dropped on its ass, go down the VIP route with, you have a great base car

some blingy rims and low height with a few minor tweaks and I think it will look nice (When you see a black beemer with cream leather no one criticises yet get the same in a vw  :undecided:)

the wood trim is staying for the time being (unless I get some black trim really cheap elsewhere? Or my other passat gives it up)

Well I have to say...I'm keeping my steering wheel!! (It's the same as fitted to W8 models so I'm told?) otherwise it will go on edition with a "rare" tagline!

and 1 week into ownership and I have being playing with a few bits...and found a few issues!

Issues first
both left top suspension arms are fooked!! (luckily my old passat has these in A1 condition) so it will donate all the bits
near side driveshaft or cv joint is fooked! (but as long as I don't use full lock and you should see my 64 point turn in the road  :hyst )
oil pressure light seems to come and go (more so when I drive her hard!) so a good clean is coming!
luckily I have being quoted under £200 for labour fixing them issues (parts hopefully should be under £100?)

and I have fixed
the glove box handle that had snapped inside the glove box...a simple strip down and some chemical metal has fixed that (until the wife breaks it!!)
rear bumper was hanging off at both sides so new clips have sorted that and it now hangs correctly

and this is some other things I have done

thats a lip spoiler and debadge grille from the old passat....and I swapped the lights after adding some black to the insides

Next.....after fixing the issues!
refurb the wheels.......grey centres and polished rims? Home refurb no3 maybe on it's way?
remove the towbar (It's too old man style...... need I say any more? hey Chuff )

I have refitted the o.e grille and removed the swan neck from the towbar.
My brother has being staying for the last week and today bought a Corrado VR6 so It would be a waste not taking some photo's

(The sun made the photo's difficult to take!!  :( )

Next week means new oil pump and top links time!! Hopefully no oil light or knocking?
