blinder of a shot there nick... I think that is one of your best portraits ever imo

that nifty 50 is proving to be a cracking lens

like the lighting and low down angle... this might have left the chin a little over exposed though  :undecided:

have you diffused the area around the subjects jacket?

I'm not that keen on it to be honest. The flash was too low (as per your chin comment) and the jacket is poop because of my bad PS skills at removing the shadow that was cast against the wall.

THat wouldn't have helped as she was no more than 2 feet from the wall. Ideally I'd have put another strobe behind her pointing at the wall on full power to blow out any shadows but I didn't have one with me.

It's finally happened, Shady done got himself a camera lol! Took a bunch of pics today, all using Auto mode so please bare with me, I am in the learning stage.

faster shutter speed. or set to shutter priority if you want a small focus (or large)

Cheers pal, I had it in Auto mode and it was taking the pic pretty quick, but I'll try Shutter Priority mode next time and increase the speed it's taken :)
