Good images Bob. Do you have an exposure lock on your camera?

I've read that what makes prime lenses so sharp is that they're easier to build as they don't zoom so they can spend more time making them sharp at the one focal length. I'm tempted to buy one but don't know if it's really worth it as I like my current three lenses.

I have the option of using a remote for shutter speed, if that's what you mean? I don't have a remote though, those pictures were at something like 1/80.  The prime lens I have goes as low as F1.7, which is the reason I bought it.  Set me back £100!
