New lens on the way YAY!!!!

Well I had some money going.. By that, I mean an interest free student overdraft  So I managed to get a Sigma 24-70 EX DG Macro with f2.8 all the way through the range for £220!! :D These are £430 in Jacobs.

I can't wait for it to arrive! Very excited :)

It was the closest lens to what I was looking for. Ideally an 18-70, with 2.8 throughout would have been perfect, but such a lens doesn't exist :( So I settled for 24mm at the widest. I've always got my Sigma 10-20 EX DG for the landscape shots! :)

I ordered a load of stuff for my camera two weeks ago. The monopod, anti-static cloth and cleaning solution turned up yesterday. Only problem is they sent me the wrong monopod and charged me the extra £55 it costs and sent the wrong anti-static cloth too.

Have wasted time on the phone and just finished wrapping them to send back with cover letter and copy of receipt. First time something like this has happened and pretty annoyed they could screw up like that.

Haven't had the time to take any pictures lately. Things are so sh!t atm.

That's not goot at all Evil :( I hope you're not having to pay delivery fees for sending it back! You should request free delivery for your troubles too.

Hope it all gets sorted and you get a chance to get out with your monopod!

After speaking to them they said I need to send a cover letter explaining the situation and ask for refund of goods AND postage. I better get it back or I'll be pissed off. Don't think I'll be using them again anyway. Just for reference it's Bristol Cameras.

Heading off shortly to get it posted. Then need to write another letter to Bristol Cameras confirming how much it cost to send the items back.

Hope you get it sorted E8B, I know what it's like as I had hassle when I bought my rims that meant sending stuff back etc.

Below is a link to my chosen shots for my college project.
