This thread is great, but please can people stop quoting other people's pictures?? It makes the thread cluttered up with the same photos over and over again! People could just adress the person by name instead of doing a massive quote of 10 pictures!

The boat in India was taken with a Canon 400D with a EF28-80 Canon USM Lens.

well , i mean , i do have one really pathetic one , and i have an old camera ( slr ? ) which i guess is worth precisely zero nowadays ?  :cry:  shame it was a good one i think

so , what's recommended for a beginner ? ( and a cheap b@stard )

If you want a point and click digital then Fuji make some good cheap ones. If you want to get creative then a budget DSLR will set you back £250 to £300

why not use your old SLR... will still take good photos?

ye i could use the old one...then pay 20 euros a film for developing...and have photos hangin around everywhere  :laugh:

i need to move to a half decent digi now

the old one is a minolta dinax 500si , with a 200mm zoom , it was ok in its day
