Title: Wiper Blades
Post by: pss53 on 28 February 2019, 09:35
Morning all,

Bought some Bosch wiper blades on fleebay (Says there fine for my MK7.5) as hate the standard ones that don't seem to be weighted right.

Got them out of the pack and same lengths as originals, the adaptor tho seems to be the wrong way....

On the originals it's like an arrow connection, the bosch ones seem to be more like a a right angle and get caught before the button can click them in ?

See my sh!tty diagram for what i mean ! :)

Just wondered if anyone else have had the same issue ? I'd expect it to come with other attachments but didn't see them in box ??

Recently changed to Bosch > A282H for rear and A864S on front.  Really easy to fit and pleased with result.

I'm still on the factory fit blades and it's a December 16 car. Judder and poor clearing is fixed by cleaning the glass properly and also cleaning the rubber on the blades.

Sorry, i cant provide you with a pic as i haven't a clue how to post images which is why ive never been able to put up a pic of my car. Loads of companies on ebay.  The wipers come with a 5 year guarantee and i got mine via RTG Automotive at Preston, 01772 395588 around £21 for fronts.

Same here - very happy with the factory blades.  However, they do appear more sensitive to a dirty windscreen than any other blades I've experienced.  But keep the screen clean and they do a great job IMO.

They're probably set up for left hand drive. You just need to pop out the connector and replace it the other way round. It's the same for Bosch wipers on Porsche models and I had to swap round the connector for the wipers I just fitted to my 996 - if you google you should find some info.

Carparts4less are usually quite good for wiper blades (and bulbs) and as they’re owned by eurocarparts they often have ‘promotions’ on and free postage. Quidco too!

I’ve never had an issue with with the standard factory blades on all four of my mk7’s or either of my mk6’s but the blades do have a lifespan and it makes sense to replace them after a year or two.
