Well, as many of you already know i've brought a mk2 golf....  :cool:


And i bloody love it!!!!!!!!


Always wanted one but was just worried about how much i'd have to keep paying out fixing her and keeping on top of things but then i found one for sale that had already had alot replaced for new..... it just needs finishing off which i'm going to have fun doing!


list of whats already been done....


Spec

1992 Alpine white K plate Golf GTI 16v 3 door

Work and parts over the last 12 months

Bodywork/Exterior

Aerial hole in passenger wing removed.
Third wiper hole removed.
Rear wiper and washer holes removed.
Golf GTi badge holes removed.
Boot lock removed.
Good condition doors and boot fitted.
Rear archs rolled and front arch's modified to G60 arch's
Full paint in original colour including engine bay and inside boot area.

Full set of new G60 arch trims and sill trims (genuine VW)

All new lights fitted.
New sunroof seal (Genuine VW)
VW stickers rear boot decal with no wiper and washer holes.
Bee Sting removed and fitted with GPS antenna.
New genuine VW front and rear badges.
New VW windscreen.
Sunroof rails etc painted matt black.

Engine/Bay

Corrado G60 pas pipes and new inner wing mounted pas fluid reservoir.
Everything cleaned and painted.
Stage 1 organic clutch.
New clutch cable.
New lower wishbones.
New track rod ends.
New ball joints
Miltek 4 branch manifold.
Full set of new coolant hoses.
New water pump.
Head has been polished and ported when valve stem seals were fitted.
New crankshaft oil seals.
New sump and gasket.
Polished rocker cover and inlet manifold.
Polished stainless bolts on most things.
New oil cooler.
K&N panel filter.
New battery.
New starter motor.
New clutch bearing and claw.
New quick shift and linkage refurb kit.

Wheels/Brakes

New G60 steels banded to 8x15 front and 8.5x15 rear then powder coated white with red trim.
New 195/45/15 toyo's.
New G60 center caps.
New grooved discs and pads all round.
New rear wheel bearings.
MK4 golf rear calipers.
New braided hoses plus braided rear mk4 conversion hoses.
Tuning Art coilovers with new G60 top mounts.

Interior/Audio

Original rainbow interior.
OMP 300mm steering wheel plus boss.
Cue ball gear knob.
New gear lever and hand brake gaitors. Black with red stitching.
Electric windows.
Rare electric sunroof.
Stealth audio system driven from Ipod only.
New VW stereo blank.
New JBL front components.
New JBL rear speakers.
New Kicker graphic in service slot.
New radiator
New heater matrix
Engine and power looms cleaned up and new loom tape applied.
New brake fluid reservoir.
New header tank and cap.
New washer bottle.
New pas fluid reservoir and bracket.
All new engine mounts fitted.
New exhaust rubbers.
Oem exhaust centre section expanded to fit over 4 branch

maybe they just remind me too much of cheepo weller steels form the 70's.

Looks great! Congrats on the new purchase  :cool:

Not keen on the wheels either if I'm honest but they are different to RS's! Looks damn clean.
