Outside of work I used my much loved 2009 MY Discovery3 HSE which returned over 27mpg today on urban driving  :wink:

I only have to use the golf for work and testing really, thats the main reason I went for that version as I Had a lot to learn about DPF regens on the CR engine in both standard and tuned forms  :wink:

MPG 1 46.4
MPG 2 49.7

But for the purest engine experience, displacement has no replacement. All other methods are simply attempts to artificially recreate the benefits of displacement.
