Vagcom Errors - In need of a little advice...

Hey folks, did a scan on my Mk5 gti tonight, as i just got my VCDS cable  

It's spat out a few code errors, which i'd like to clear up.  Firstly, none of these errors are affecting the working of the car (not that i know of), but i'd still like to remove them. 

It's also worth noting that there are a few relating to lights, this may be due to some aftermarket DLR's that were installed by the previous owner.  If i could fix that, it would be good, as i do get intermittent light error light on my dash.

when it comes to aftermarket drls be thankful that the issue is only intermittent. it could mean a bulb is slightly dodgy or some other form of resistance the ecu is picking up. the other faults just look like an aftermarket stereo has been fitted.. if thats the case you could tidy up the can gateway coding but its not essential.

Hmm, wasnt aware the RNS 510 was fitted aftermarket, is there anyway to tell what it got out of the factory?

you can usually tell from the PR codes on the sticker in the boot if you enter them here http://igorweb.org/equidec/

if you go in to the can gateway installation list make sure navigation is ticked, but radio isn't. If it all looks fine then just clear the codes and check again in a few days.. the fault frequencies are pretty low so if the nav is all working as it should then don't fret.

haha, nothing wrong with a bit of OCD! I've only just got my hands on VCDS so still a little nervous about changing things 'willy-nilly' so ive taken the current selections as gospel.

I'll change the coding over the weekend, reset the errors, and see how i get on.

I can't thank this forum enough for the knowledgeable folk it has on these matters.
