GTD Ipod Connector
« on: 28 September 2017, 15:24 »
All,

Just picked up my GTD and there is no wire to connect an Ipod to it - can some point me in the direction of where I can get one?

Thanks

USB port in the cubby hole behind the gearstick....use your apple supplied cable
Current: Mk8 GTI DSG, Adelaides, DCC, HUD, HK, Winter Pack, Rear Camera.. Aka "HMS Weasel"

Gone: 2017 Mk7.5 GTD,manual, NavPro
Gone: 2014 Mk7 GTD, manual, NavPro, DCC

Depends whether its a brand new GTD or an earlier Mk7 as to whether its the current universal USB socket in the cubby hole or the previous 30 pin socket.

These leads/adapters are available, if needed, online.

Thanks Fredgroves now your thinking!!!  I just came from a BMW where you need a special wire for the Ipod so I had just expected the same - but no it works with a standard Ipod wire into the cubby hole as described.

Thanks again!!!
