Thanks... excited, Yes, but June seems such as long way off.  Will post some pics as soon as.  Lets hope it looks as good in the flesh as it does in the recent press shots.  Roll on June!

Did you buy it without viewing it in the flesh ? wow.

I'm not sure where you are in the world but I think they are rolling into the garages now, friend of mine says Dundee VW garage had big sign up saying 'new GTI in here now' and Glasgow VW (although not sure which garage yet) has a GTI too.

Yep!  I don't normally buy, until I've had at least a test drive..... but on this occasion I'm "throwing caution to the wind" having owned previous incarnations of the Golf GTi (Mk 3 & 4).... I'm pretty sure I can't go far wrong.

You sure they've got demos up in Scotland so early?  I can't wait to see one in the flesh.  Has anyone else seen demos anywhere else apart from Scotland?  I ordered mine from VW in Bristol and the earliest demo they'll have is sometime in June!!!  It looks like they need to pull their finger out.
