Good advice and idea me thinks.

What are the pro & cons having a machine?

What are the pro & cons having a machine?

pros: you can achieve a superior finish with less work
you can only achieve paint correction with a machine
cons: it costs quite a bit and it still takes a while
it is possible to knacker your clearcoat if you are reckless

the best way to use a machine polisher is with good technique... poor technique will mean you're there forever with excess polish/powder residue, too big a working set and infliction of holograms etc

do it right and the results are well worthwhile!

Thanks Chris, sorry I never went through with the g220 order, I had another party involved in the descision and ended up with the das-6.

GTI mk6, 3dr Manual (Yes Manual! If I wanted a Taxi I'd hail one, not spend £1500 on one), Candy White, Full Leather, Xenons, ACC, 18", RCD510 + Dynaudio, DAB Radio, Winter Pack, Luxury Pack, Fiscon Bluetooth Plus, Golf R LED's.

Don't apologise, both are great machines

Looks like you have got the hang of it quick too, impressive results.
