intermittant smoking engine.
« on: 13 December 2010, 00:33 »
Well after being sat for a year i have decided to start my mk2 project. Its still as solid and all seems well with it apart from the fact that it smokes intermittently. Its really weird one min its fine and the next its putting blueish smoke out.It runs sweet and seems to have no problems other than this.

any ideas as i am not sure what to do

That it should be just fine.  It's only a year.

Has it been warmed up?  Have you taken it out for a drive at all?

I suspect whatever it is will clear with either a drive, or the addition of some fresh fuel.
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.
