I fitted a new wing (breakers) to my diesel 96 estate golf.
and a triagle shaped bit of foam came out it had a vw part no on
it but not 100% sure i put back in the correct place

I can't imagen, none of my wings have ever had this. the only thing i can think that is triangle and fome is the bit behind the blanking plate for the wing mirrors?

i changed both of my front wings recently and didnt come across anything like that,i did find some big plastic thing lodged behind there though,not got a clue what it was so i just wedged it back in there,haha.
