Your only young and stupid once... slam the living hell out of it.
Splitters can be replaced
Exhaust brackets are cheap to replace
Sumps are easy to replace (or if you have a vr6 fit a shallower r32 sump and oil pick up  :wink: )

And cheap coilovers?... not all people can afford good stuff and its safer than cutting your springs right?!

did mine over weekend after a long wait

Gonna keep it as is for now, I'll do something with the ride height when I get a new set of wheels.  :wink:

cheers for the info shady (and the rest of ya all) your right, its defo gotta be a decision i make on my own and it seems coilys are the way forward and that i can always adjust the drop .....

coilovers were 120mm but taken bumpstops out and chopped springs so kinda lost count :grin: also live down a street full of speedbumps ha

this is a picture while shes sat on steelies - should be about 1/2 and inch higher when i get my wheels back on front :smiley:

Drop it on its arse. Only way to go.
Mine is droped to the ground, i dont get any problems with the
sump, never hit it, and i live next to loads of speed humps.
And mines a VR, and im guessing the Vr lump sits lower than the Gti lump.

The regular "full" width sleeping policeman are fine, can trundle over at about 10-15mph
But its thos pain in the bottom ones which are divided into three parts! Has to be a near enoug halt and first gear jobby :'( And the splitter still gets a little scrape here and there! But thats what splitters are for to be fair  :evil:
