You thought about/researched any SC kits??

Now, that REALLY would be different!!

Yes mate, i was originally going to go this route, i spoke to CCR-Racing a while back and they would do me a stage one Rotrex SC kit with 1.8t stock intercooler for just shy of 3k (with postage and tax and stuff) but then i would also have to pay for a custom remap and manufacture a bracket for the SC. but it would still only push 185 BHP for that money. obviously if i did other things to lower the compression then  would get more.

Mmmmmmmmmmm, that does seem a lot of dollar/effort to get to 185.

Are you looking to spend about 3k then?  What kind of power you hoping for with the turbo?

How about buying a rear ended S3 & nick the whole front off it??  You'd have everthing then - Lump, downpipe, plumbing, uprated brakes etc, etc.

Could have a Golf S3 but without the downside of the weight of the 4WD system??

he aint interested mate he loves his car and wants to do this to it. i did think about it with mine but selling mine for a 180 in the next month at the latest!!!

same as me everyone says change the engine to a 1.8T but it's hard to part with a perfectly good working engine doing a conversion with an unknown engine

had a lapse there - fit a derv engine in it

be the 1st ivor, we talked about this before and im sure jamm89 said he would fit it for me?? bet that got lost when the forum went down!!!! damn it!!!!
