Bluetooth OBD-2 dongle for mk4

Mine has just arrived in the post, will be checking to see how it works on the laptop and with the Torque app I have for my android

£12 delivered and the lite version of the program is free and can read codes so saves taking the laptop everywhere with me  :smiley:

Does it work with more modern stuff?  Like proper cars  :tongue:  Link?

I think all OBD-2 no matter what car run on the same platform...

Looks cool. If it does work i suppose you could pair it up with a bluetooth enabled laptop and essentially make a 'bluetooth serial com port' thus making VagCom etc work over bluetooth not sure how stable it would be but would be worth giving it a bash  :nerd:

That's the plan mate, proper logs would still have to be done via a cable but other stuff can be done via the dongle  :cool:

So like coding in things clocks etc that can all be done via this dongle? Does the dongle come with seperate software that runs on your PC and it stores it until you upload it? Or is just a communication device just without the cables? lol

obd2 port doesnt mean obd2 compliant.
