I have seen a number in London and also checked one out at a dealership a few weeks ago. They are well made IMO but have no idea how they drive. Silver ones with big wheels look yummy.

You can spec the 8C red paint (at £1790!!) and 8C style wheels too - what a stunning car!
very easy to top £30k though...if you like the look of the options list...but then again, it's easy to get to £31-32k in a Golf GTI too.

Reducing my Golf count by the week....
..but gaining motorcycles.

"I think they are going to make the fcuker longer and wider for all the fatties. They can sod off if they do so. The present one is bloated enough." Quote from am1w on the mk7 thread over in general. This the same car you just said (without even seeing let alone driving one) is your top choice

I keep having thoughts about an Alfa Giulietta.
Not sure I'm brave enough to actually buy one though..

Stunning looking car, but I was in one the other week and, what a crock of sh1te.

My parents neighbour works in R+D for Honda and he brought one home for the weekend. They buy rival cars and pull them appart to work out how they are made. The Alfa virtually fell apart, whereas they are scratching their heads trying to work out how VW make the Golf as well as they do, as that is the benchmarch for the next Civic.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

Glad you read me MDS!
Unfortunately, this is the way of the world and as I live in it I have to succumb to buying bigger buggers, though this does not please me. Let's hope the Mk7 does not balloon too much. I might get lost in it.
