tbh, i think all meets and even shows are crap now, last few vag meets ive been to have been full of dickheads, last few shows ive been to are also full of dickheads or people trying to be 1directions 5th member...

only shows and meets iv enjoyed over the last year have been a few meets ive been to for specialist cars, i.e ferraris, porsche, lambos, etc. and for muscle cars such as mustangs etc. seem to be full of people who actually know about cars and do things "properly", i.e lowering a car for handling not to see how close to the floor you can get.

have to say im one of those who occasionally thinks wtf are you doing to your car!!!! eg there,s a guy driving round in a mk3 lowered on ridiculously small bright pink wheels.  But then i think hang on that car is immaculate he must spend hours looking after it...dam sight more than i do with mine!!!  And thats the point isnt it surely?

we all love cars but have different ideas about what is and isnt the right way to do things.  My stepson has polo gti...lowered it and then lowered it again,is now rolling the arches and fitting a leather interior, rags it like mad but utterly loves the car and the driving.  To some he's probably regarded and a stupid irresponsible young driver to me he's a car enthusiast who does things differently to me.

Some people want to sit and supp a quiet pint whilst discussing old models...some want get as close to the tarmac as possible and fit a bigger turbo...its called getting old when you just want a quiet pint and everyone else is a dickhead
