Had to change the battery on the key fob,...
Was out doing a bit of shopping and went to lock the car.... or not
Still having followed the advice on here (thanks all) had a spare ion the car and all good.
For reference I have been using the GP Lithium Cell CR2025 and they work perfectly and are relatively cheap (10 for £4ish on Amazon)

I have given my rubber seals around the doors a coat of gummi pledge  :nerd:
when the car froze solid last week a small bit of the felt ripped off the drivers side seal and stuck to the main car

On my TCR, I fitted the OSRAM Dynamic scrolling mirror indicators(expensive but 5 year guarantee and ECE legal) carbon mirror caps and small TCR graphic to tailgate.

Really nice touch, definitely worth doing considering the cost

They were cheaper than I thought tbh

£35 from a place called Rocketwires - https://rocketwires.co.uk/online-shop/ols/products/vw-golf-mk7-door-puddle-lighting-kit/v/VW-GLF-MK7-Door-Logo-Kit-VW-LG

Came with projectors, link harness and a really excellent fitting instructions + dedicated support.

They look class for the money, do they look as good in reality?

Presumably the door card has to come off to fit them?

Yes it looks that way, I had a chat with the owner of Rocketwires and such a nice guy.... really impressed.
But he has these amazing fitment guides so that even an idiot like me could do it.

So what he told me....
1) All Golf 7's+ have the reflector in the door lower.
2) If you have an illuminated sill (like me) it means the electrical pin in the door ecu is 'live' and no re-coding is required.
3) Therefore it is easier because it is 'plug and play' to a certain degree. He said that the harness which comes with the kit is designed so that you do not need to splice into the existing harness which makes it easier. They just clip straight into where the reflector is.
4) He also sells basic LED puddle lighting (without logo) that actually looks good too.
5) If there is no LED lighting in the sill.... the pin out on the door ECU is not live, but he also includes detailed instructions on how to do this also via 2 or 3 recoding options and also can provide details of people locally who can do this.
Really helpful tbh and I think I am definitely going to buy some from him.

For £35 I am going to give them a go... the images look sharp and crisp to me.
