Seatbelt warning and exhaust tips
« on: 22 November 2017, 14:11 »
2 questions. My 59 plate doesn't seem to have a seatbelt warning noise - i.e no alarm emitted when belt isn't on - i'm fine with this as don't need a warning sound to tell me to put my seatbelt on but just wondered if this is standard?

also the exhaust tips are quite dark and dirty now although with a scrub come up ok. is it easy to get & fit OEM replacements ?

It should have a seatbelt warning light and bonger, but it may be that the previous owner turned it off using VCDS.

Try fine wire wool and metal polish on the chimney pots.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

The exhaust tips are welded on so no easy replacement.
Mk6 GTI Carbon Grey, 2010 Bluetooth and voice fitted, a few VCDS mods still a comfortable family car. Red Scirocco 2011 twin charger stage 1 - enjoyable drive now gone.  White 2016 Polo GTI (roller skate on steroids) replaced with an Indium Grey 2019 7.5 GTI PP.
