Hi all, finally managed to get a test done using stonechip, very impressed with the results! Two light coats and the part looks brand new with a very subtle relief. Will be interesting to see how it stands up to being washed and how it fades in the sun. Check out these images (ignore the fingerprint in the middle it takes longer to dry than you would expect!)

Heat gun. Did mine over a year ago and still look as good as new
probably lasts a lot longer if the car is garaged and not out so much.
