Went round all the door seals with Gummi Pflege Rubber Care today. Seems to get good reviews and was easy to apply too...
Any one else use it?

Have used Gummi Pflege in the past but not a big fan of it.  I prefer VW Krytox (special lubricant) oil for feeding seals and window felts. It’s more expensive but ime the effects last a lot longer than gummi fledge.

Did all mine last year with Krytox after hearing a few telltale creaks, and still silent today.

Having drawn a blank with several "smart" dent removal "specialists" after my GTI was assaulted by an unknown idiot in a car park, leaving the offside front wing thus:

I took it this morning to what is, in my opinion, the best bodyshop in Hampshire to ask them to estimate for repairing it.

£375.  Plus VAT.

When I discovered the damage I had my son's new cricket bat in the boot, which hadn't been fully knocked-in.  If only I could have found the miscreant I could have completed the knocking-in process on their face.

I'm not happy.

Bit early to say yet whether I'm happy with the results, was easy to use and improved the look of the rubber slightly. Quite easy to not get any on the glass. Might not last that long and I may try the VW Krytox that Booth suggests next. Once I've used up the bottle of gummi...

Treated the door/window rubbers on my car with Gummi Pflege this week as the recent hot weather had dried them out and they had started creaking. They’re now back to being silent again. It might not last as long as Krytox but it’s the first time I’ve needed to apply Gummi Pflege to my door/window rubbers this year.

I'm about to treat the rubber door seals on my GTI. But I'll be using some stuff I bought from Honda when I had my S2000.  It worked a treat on my Mk6 Golf.  From memory It's called Shin-Etsu, and comes in a tube about the size of a large toothpaste tube for around £20.

I'm slightly less unhappy, because I remembered that HMRC owe me a refund of over-paid tax, which is more than enough to cover the repair.  Every cloud, ...
