The seller in the eBay listing says he lists a different pipe for non pp to pp where as the listing I've posted says no difference so what's your point??

The eBay listing is saying the GTI Performance is different (Mk7.5). Your link says there is no difference between the GTI with Performance Pack (Mk7) and standard GTI (Mk7). So all 230ps engines are the same, the 245ps GTI Performance is different.

This would actually explain why the 245ps GTI sounds noticeably different than the 230, the exhaust is obviously different in some way.

You need to read it again. It says GTI Performance (7.5) is different which is not a GTI with Performance Pack (7). They are two separate models. All 230/220ps engines = same, 245ps = different. It’s not hard to understand.

Which part of "Please note , this does not fit GTi Performance model , we have a separate listing for this vehicle" does it state thats just for 7.5?? It's not that hard to read an advert is it!!

Well the exhaust tips are definitely fatter (like those on the Clubsport) on the 7.5 GTI.

Yeah that's been mentioned before Joe but I'd be amazed if VW are using an entirely different exhaust between a 7 and 7.5 GTi. The engines are exactly the same with I'd presume just a slightly different mapping on a 7.5 pp.

“GTI Performance” is a model name for the 7.5

“GTI with Performance Pack” is a name for the 7

This is their other link for the “GTI Performance” https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F323257419126 and it clearly states 7.5.
