hey, im new to the forum, i dirve a honda crx sir, 1.6 vtec. ive joined to get info about golfs as id like one as my next car, i have no idea what the different models are, but id be after a 1992 - 1996, 1.6 turbo? if anyone would like to shed some light on the different models and specs that would be great.

Welcome to the site, if that's the years you are after then you want a really late mk2 1.8 16V or one of the first mk3 2.0 (I think) 16V, I think they came out about 1996, if you can find one.  :smiley: Any question then just ask, enough people around to answer them. As Boggle says go for a G60 or a Rallye if you are prepared to go a little older, I'd go for the Rallye myself, 4wd, supercharged, quality.  :smiley:

Nope they only did a 2litre 8v, a 2litre 16v and a 2.8litre vr6

Only did a turbo on the mk4's
