As a United fan, we somehow felt it was all going to go to shit for us...yet again.
The boys just don't seem to have a belief or the desire anymore. They all look too slow and tired. There are the odd flourishes for a few minutes, but on the whole, nothing.
The thing that I don't get about the Capital One cup is the away goal rule. Why does it only count after extra time? Surely that gives the away side in the second leg an extra 30 minutes to score an away goal? As it was, after 90 minutes last night, United would have gone through.
Still, it can only get better. It took Sir Alex around 4 seasons before he turned it round and won anything. We still get 75,000 filling OT every game. It's certainly not going to stop me going as often as I can.
