Hi, I've signed up to the forum just to say that I am the original owner of FEW61Y, if it still exists - I have some original paperwork (no logbooks or V5) for the car which I personally imported in Feb '83, and if the car exists and the current owner is interested in this please pm me and I will send it on.

Thanks, yes, that's what it showed on the DVLA enquiry site.  It's hard to think of that shiny, new black car being a restoration project!  It was a nice little thing, and all the better for being an 1800.  It replaced my Triumph Stag.  Oh well...

It's just the paperwork relating mostly to the personal import, German export papers, payment arrangements, original German dealer's sales papers etc.  Having a clear out and came across them, so before slinging in the bin I just thought I'd ask as these would be something I'd like in the reverse situation.

Have you tried the mk1 owners club?

Thanks for that - it hadn't occurred to me there might be a separate club for MkIs!  Duly posted there, and thanks for your help.
