Time taken to replace GTI tensioner

I know this has been done to death but could someone who has actually changed the tensioner them selves tell me how long it takes

Due to age and milage most will have stretched chains by now so I would suggest changing them too.

Not the answer to your question but when I replaced the intake manifold it took me twice as long as dealer timings and this was a 'relatively simple' task that required few other bits to be removed. Elsewhere on the site I remembered this from Seabrook 132:

Total cost for the work was £872.61. That includes 6.5 hours labour coming in at £468 and then the rest (£404.61) in parts which I will list:
