My wifes GTD has had the recall done and we haven't noticed any difference ,it still runs the same and no loss of power .
My Tiguan is going in next week for the update so hopefully it will be the same .

If anyone's interested, there's a (closed) Facebook group set up dedicated to problems people are having after the update - The Volkswagen diesel customer forum (emissions scandal) where 2-3 new members are joining on a daily basis complaining of bad running, dreadful mpg figures, limp mode, rattling engine and EGR failures! There's about 140 members at the moment and they're (we're) looking for more people who are having problems and brushed aside by VW. The more voices we have the stronger we all become - the admin have been contacting VW, watchdog etc and are not just sitting on their laurels.
Remember it's not compulsory to have the update done but at service time and perhaps your MOT they probably WILL install it without your permission!
Mk VI Black Pearl GTD.... No Frills, replaced a Black Pearl PD150 Bora, which in turn replaced a Dragon Green VR6 which followed a Dusty Mauve MK III 8v Gti.

Have a look at Honest John's website. There've been countless bad reports of poorly Tiguans post fix on there.

Mk6 GTI Carbon Grey, 2010 Bluetooth and voice fitted, a few VCDS mods still a comfortable family car. Red Scirocco 2011 twin charger stage 1 - enjoyable drive now gone.  White 2016 Polo GTI (roller skate on steroids) replaced with an Indium Grey 2019 7.5 GTI PP.

Ive had my dpf removed so im waiting to get absolutely rinsed by the dealer
