MK1 part sites?
« on: 22 April 2013, 20:42 »
Might be getting my hands on a mk1 very soon but it needs a few bits as its cat C. Any one know of any good site that sell bits apart from vw heritage?

Already looked.  Need a boot, rear bumper, left light and 1/4 panel.  Cars been sitting for a year or so but has only 32,000 miles. Trying to price up the bits to see how much it would be before I get it back on the road.

when i search i just put in 'mk1 golf' and trawl thru the 6000 odd parts, i got sills, rear arches, wing, front panel, front and rear lights,
the parts are there you just have to be a bit patient sometimes, quarter panels maybe the most difficult as you will probably need a donor shell, same for rear hatch.
crazy quiffs do panels but a bit pricey, also waterwagens on ebay

As said, CQs are a decent bet, or for the fiddly parts I use VW Heritage.
