The diff needs some attention. Welding

..and put some black tape over the warning lights, or remove them...otherwise they will be forever bleating at you like a wife who wants more allowance.

Allowance?  You're doing that wrong.
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

Into a local workshop tonight for a once-over:

Front ARB bushes replaced:

Drop-linkage:

And let's get things straight:

Toe being toed out:

uh uh - nice leathers:

This wants a sump guard:

It is pretty clean:

Although it's got a bit of pox on both sides, in the same place:

Essential bit of kit applied:

Here's a pain in the ass:

Which has led me to a £140 policy, which might keep this on the road up til August.

Now insured for around £200 after a bit of to and fro and I wouldn't recommend ever bothering with Performance Direct for insurance, even if they do come out cheapest - guess what - can't complete the payment for the policy online, so go to phone and up jumps the policy.

Went with Be Wiser for insurance.  All good.

Have now spent some time at the helm of this thing, starting to learn RWD, which is great fun. Definitely needs some limitation in the slip of the diff.  Can't do donuts without it.

Every old BMW advertised on ebay at the moment is a 'potential drift car'.
