The car is a 2000 Golf V5 (AGZ engine). I'm getting two fault codes coming up:
01271 – Positioning Motor for Temperature Flap (V68) – static – Faulty
00849 – S-contact at ignition Starter Switch (D) – static – Undefined switch condition
The top one is down to someone messing with the wiring because the cooling fans wouldn't come on, so I'm replacing the thermostat, coolant sensor, housing and crack pipe to solve that one.
The second one is still a mystery for me, has a look on Ross Wiki and the likes but not sure what is causing it so any help or pointers would be great.
