with alot of polishes on the market, very few of them are actually pure polishes, do you want a micro abrasive cutting agent? a paint cleaner? etc?

from what ive read on most websites, and speaking to members/mates within the car scene, theres alot of ppl that use ag srp, and say how good it is (even though it leaves lots of residue) but once you mention cutting agents, they think youre speaking in a different language, which makes me think why dont these ppl just stick with the ag ultra deep shine polish?!?

next yr, meguiars are releasing a new polish part of the ultimate range, its similar to step2 deep crystal, but with refined technology and gives alot more gloss, definitely worth trying if you can hold out for 2 months

Cheers mate, no pro myself but at the momment mine has had the following done to it for the winter :-

Clean wheels and seal (Poorboys wheel sealant)
Snow Foam (Valet Pro PH Neutral)
Two bucket wash (Dodo Juice BTBM)
Clay (Bilt Hamber Autoclay regular)
Polish (SRP, 1 coat on whole car and 2 or 3 around door handles, fuel flap ect.)
Sealer (EGP, 1 coat)
Wax (Dodo Juice Rain forrest rub, 1 coat)

I finished that today (not all in one day mind !) so the old shed should be good for the winter and I'll give it another coat of wax if I get the chance but doing it all outside means I'm a slave to the weather

I would try more products but I won't buy any more until a current product runs out or I suppose in extreme cases if a product was simply rubbish or I couldnt use it properly I would give it away or bin it and get a replacement. At the moment Jet seal is almost certain as my new sealer but I remain to be convinced about what to replace SRP with  :undecided:

2 layers of sealant and 2 layers of wax for will give you better coverage, if you are comfetable with ag srp then carry on using it but theres other polishes that are far better imho, lime prime, blackmax glaze, blackhole are all really easy to use products and can give good results by hand.
i'll send you a sample of blackmax glaze if you like?

Thanks for the generous offer but what I should have said is that I dont mind buying a glaze but can it be used in exaclty the same way as a polish ? I'm fine with and understand polish, sealer, wax but I dont really understand the difference between a polish and glaze ?

In layman's turn polish is a very mild cutting product to make the paint shine. Glaze is more of a filler (temporarily fills in whirls and small scratches etc) and can give paint more depth.

Black hole in an awesome glaze. Looks stunning on my Helios Blue.
White Diamond is more for light coloured vehicles but essentially they both do the same thing. Just specialised for different coloured cars.

It's funny you should add that as I have been considering going down the Polish - Glaze - Seal - Wax route but to be honest I'm not usre I would have the time or the weather to get it all done in a resonable amount of time ?

neat apc should shift it, suprised the polish hasnt removed it.

@Uruk go for it, even if you spend one day polishing and glazing then next day sealing and waxing, tis the norm for us pro's, only vary rarely do you get a car that only needs a day spent on it.

2 coats of jetseal, then 2 collinite should last at least 6 months if using a decent mild shampoo surely? (btbm?)
