G68 Sensor fault - 00281 (Faulty intermittent)
« on: 28 July 2015, 17:48 »
Hi guy's.

I've got the dreaded G68 Sensor fault showing via Vagcom/Vcds on my Golf MK4 2.0 8v.
It's not flagged up the EPC or engine check light on the dash yet, or effected the way the car goes in any way, plus i've got the manual gearbox, not an auto! I've researched the fault like you do etc. And the car still starts, rev's & drives like usual. No stalling as of yet, so my question is, should I bother replacing it yet? Or wait till a later point? I use it daily to get to work and back.

Cheers

Check the wiring and connectors maybe just a slightly dodgy connection.

Cheer's, I like a simple fix
I'll pull off the gearbox mount and see if a rat has had a go at it
