Alternator loom and fuse box
« on: 22 July 2015, 18:22 »
So the fuse box and alternator loom decided to go up in smoke. I caught it in time and have parts on the way to replace, good 2nd hand fuse box off ebay and new loom from VW (now £56).
Fuse box looks easy enough bolt on, connector and a few clips.
Question is how hard is it to replace the loom? I've kinda traced it around under battery. What's involved?

So I fitted it all this morning. 2 hours tops. Battery out, battery tray out and a good bit of rummaging about.  Wasn't so bad to trace and replace loom, might have been somewhat easier after my recent deleting activities ;)
