Stomper's Black Bora 1.8T
« on: 22 January 2011, 20:24 »
Quick summary of where it came from and where it's at

Picked it up the car off last May, it's a 1.8T Sport 180 Bora, already had a couple of nice mods, front and rear V6 4mo Valances, lowered on eibach springs and Boge turbo shocks, milltek cat back and AMD remap. Was rolling on TT comps:

Not long after I found some nice oem 17" "Evolo's" off ebay, really liked them, here's a few shots just before Stonor park:

Added a stubby aerial:

And swapped out the shocking standard wood trim and picked up an R-line gearknob:

After a short run on some R32 Aristo's I finally scooped a set of anniversary wheels, got them on yesterday and cleaned her up:

Future plans include rear ARB and spacers, maybe eventually coilovers

Love it (well I would - it's a black Bora!!) - I like both the Evolos and the Anni rims on it. What VW models were the Evolos on and are they 5x100?

Keeping schtum. Mostly.

The evolo's are a very nice oe wheel and hard to come by. They are 5x100 and came off the new beetle I think.

Thanks for comments guys

Cheers guys, the Bora's a perfect all rounder, enough room for the family but surprises a few "performance cars" on the road

Finally got a break in the weather today to clean and polish the car

Update since last pics I've fitted H&R spacers, 8mm front, 15mm rear, wheels sit sweet now, almost flush with arches

Next saturday popping up to AMD to get my Milltek sorted out, the clamps on all 4 joints have gone so these are getting replaced, gonna get them to fit my Whiteline rear ARB while it's on the ramps.

Looking forward to seeing the difference it makes.....
